Alexia Hoste
Career
Alexia graduated from the Ghent University with honours in 2002.
She began her professional career as a lawyer at the Ghent Bar under the trainee mentorship of Mr Willy van Eeckhoutte, and has since worked in various renowned law firms specialising in social law. Since 2012, she has been responsible for the development and management of a social law department in a multiservice law firm in West Flanders.
On 1 July 2021, Alexia Hoste joined Bellaw Gent as a partner.
She is also a member of the editorial board of the legal journal T.G.R. and regularly publishes in her field.
Outside of work, Alexia enjoys life in the Maldegem countryside with her husband and little daughter, her favourite hobbies being horse husbandry and sport.
Experience
Based on her experience and practice, Alexia has developed a social law focus for executives, managers, self-employed persons and small and medium-sized companies, which she advises and assists and represents in proceedings in a variety of personnel matters.
She is a true social law "all-rounder”, who provides guidance to you and your company both in cases of dismissals and visits by social inspectors, looking for a practical solution when possible and litigating when necessary.
Thanks to her experience in a multi-service office, she also welcomes your suggestions beyond the strict framework of social law, and has an extensive network of external specialists she can call on in matters relating to your file (commercial law, company law, tax law, GDPR, M&A, IP, insolvency, etc).
