Ester Van Oostveldt
Career
Ester Van Oostveldt holds a law degree from the University of Ghent, from where she graduated in 1999.
Ester Van Oostveldt worked as an assistant at the Department of Social Law of the University of Ghent from 1 September 1999 to 31 December 2004 and was also a guest lecturer at the Vives college in Kortrijk for more than 10 years.
She has been active at the Ghent Bar since 1 October 1999 and a lawyer-partner since 1 October 2003.
Publications and other activities
Ester Van Oostveldt is co-author of various social law publications, including the annually published Sociaal Compendium Socialezekerheidsrecht and the Sociaal Zakboekje (published bi-annually).
She also contributes to SocialEye, an online database for social law specialists and HR professionals.

Experience
Ester Van Oostveldt has long been familiar with social security law: she has a thorough knowledge of both the scope of applicability and financing of social security for employees and self-employed people and of the various sub-regulations of both systems.
Neither unemployment nor health insurance, nor pension nor family benefit schemes have any secrets for her.
She provides advice and guidance on all this.
Together with other lawyers of the team, she provides assistance in contacts, negotiations and defence before the courts (of appeal) in all social security matters.
