Jef Michielsen
Career
Jef Michielsen is a Master of Laws, who graduated from the University of Ghent with distinction in June 2018.
Jef received his full training at our firm, under the watchful eye of his patron, Professor Van Eeckhoutte. Since 1 January 2024, he has a partner of the firm.

Experience
Jef Michielsen assists both individuals and companies on all aspects of employment and social security law.
He provides advice and represents clients in court.
Regarding individual employment law, he is particularly experienced in dismissal cases, employer and employee liability, the status of the commercial representative and the protection of the physical and mental well-being of staff.
He also has a keen interest in social criminal law, occupational accident law, pensions and unemployment insurance.
Publications and other activities
Jef is particularly active as a representative of our firm within our international association Innangard and contributes to the Innangard Podcasts, including:
- The Use and Enforceability of Post-Termination Restrictions in the Employment Relationship (contribution for Belgium);
- Work-Life Balance in the Post-COVID-19 Era (as chair).
