Nieuws

Alexia is from Bruges and graduated from the University of Ghent in 2002. She started her professional career at the time as a lawyer at the Ghent Bar under the personal mentorship of Willy van Eeckhoutte.

In 2007, she left the Ghent Bar and joined the West Flanders Bar, where she worked together with lawyers specialising in social law (until 2012) and where she was responsible for the development and management of a social law unit (Marlex lawyers).

Based on her experience and practice, Alexia has developed a social law focus for the self-employed and small and medium-sized enterprises, which she helps with advice and assistance as well as with proceedings, in a variety of personnel-related matters. She is a true social law "all-rounder", who provides guidance in cases of dismissals and visits by social inspection, looking for a pragmatic solution when possible and litigating when necessary.

She is also a member of the editorial board of the legal journal T.G.R. and regularly publishes in her field.
